The Academic Solution

Our School

History

Founded in 2009, the Centre Académique de l'Outaouais is a small,  not-for-profit organization with the mission to welcome students from diverse backgrounds and educate children to become responsible and successful adults. CADO’s new management has identified a lack of resources for Outaouais students with special needs, and has thus made the commitment to create a learning environment where students of all abilities can thrive. CADO considers it a privilege to contribute to a better world by encouraging each student to be generous, respectful and honest.

CADO offers personalized programs that promote individual success by rigorously monitoring each students' academic progress. Our study methods and learning strategies allow students to develop the work habits they need to excel in their daily lives and as they pursue their higher education.

Most importantly, we take great pride in knowing that CADO is a school that welcomes everyone. We believe that each and every student is unique. Some of our students are gifted; some are athletic; and some have learning difficulties, while others are shy. Not everyone is able to develop their full potential in regular schools. Whatever your child’s challenge or gift, we believe that everyone can benefit from our personalized support.

CADO today

The Centre Académique de l'Outaouais is a private school ,that has been approved by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education.

During the school year, students benefit from small classes taught by our enthusiastic teachers. Each of our teachers is equipped with a wide range of diverse teaching techniques, that take into account their students’ specific needs and learning styles.

In addition to mandatory courses, the school also offers many optional elective courses including visual arts, drama, dance, music and more.

To promote concentration in the classroom, we also authorize certain technological tools and encourage the use of laptops for educational purposes.

To enrich each child’s educational experience, CADO offers extracurricular sports programs for students of all levels.

Every year, we also invite students to participate in a variety of exciting educational field trips, in addition to an annual cultural trip.
